Sound and proven forest management practices are a direct result of companies like Stevens Industries aggressively participating in the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) Certification for Chain of Custody. Our Certification was granted by Scientific Certification Systems after completing an extensive audit of the Stevens Manufacturing and Sales processes. Our Chain of Custody certification # is SCS-COC-001662. Please ask about FSC® products.
Stevens has taken an active role in assuring compliance to U.S. – Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) – Title VI regulations through our involvement with the Composite Panel Association (CPA) and our continued work with our suppliers. Most, if not all, panel manufacturers are changing to resin system using no added formaldehyde.
The CPA is the North American trade association for producers of particleboard, medium density fiberboard, hardboard and other compatible products. Dedicated to increasing the acceptance and use of composite panel products and educating users about their benefits. As an accredited standard developer for the American National Standards Institute, CPA sponsors and publishes industry product standards and participates in the standards development work of the American Society for Testing and Materials and others.
