At STEVENSWOOD® we are committed to being responsible and efficient in our manufacturing processes. We continually invest in technologies to improve everything from upgrading data flow sharing and enhancing engineering processes, to quality control and improvements for operations and production.
Stevens Industries, Inc., continues to improve the company’s depth of involvement in environmental long term commitments with the addition of the U.L. GREENGUARD GOLD Certification Program and by staying current with the ever changing landscape of rules, guidelines and regulations. Our Thermally Fused Laminate (TFL) panels have achieved U.L. GREENGUARD GOLD Certification and provide numerous LEED potential contributions for consideration on your current project.
The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™, created by the U.S. Green Building Council, is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings. The LEED Rating System was created to transform the built environment to sustainability by providing the building industry with consistent, credible standards for what constitutes a green building. Our efforts to help you achieve LEED credits are summarized on our LEED Statement.
Sound and proven forest management practices are a direct result of companies like Stevens Industries aggressively participating in the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) Certification for Chain of Custody. Our Certification was granted by Scientific Certification Systems after completing an extensive audit of the Stevens Manufacturing and Sales processes. Our Chain of Custody certification # is SCS-COC-001662. Please ask about FSC® products.
Stevens has taken an active role in assuring compliance to U.S. – Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) – Title VI regulations through our involvement with the Composite Panel Association (CPA) and our continued work with our suppliers. Most, if not all, panel manufacturers are changing to resin system using no added formaldehyde.
The CPA is the North American trade association for producers of particleboard, medium density fiberboard, hardboard and other compatible products. Dedicated to increasing the acceptance and use of composite panel products and educating users about their benefits. As an accredited standard developer for the American National Standards Institute, CPA sponsors and publishes industry product standards and participates in the standards development work of the American Society for Testing and Materials and others.

We are also proud to provide products that support safe and healthy environments for the consumer. One of the key components of our product is that it is naturally environmentally friendly. Our core materials consist of 100% recycled and/or recovered fiber. For a more natural and safer product we are using no-added Urea Formaldehyde cores.
As the design industry continues to embrace sustainable practices, materials like Thermally Fused Laminate (TFL) stand out as an environmentally conscious choice.
TFL not only offers aesthetic appeal and durability but also contributes to reducing carbon footprints in various ways.
